Connect Klaviyo to CleanSmart
Connect Klaviyo to CleanSmart and start importing records for cleaning. This guide covers the full setup: connecting your account, entering your API key, and mapping your fields so your data lands in CleanSmart accurately.
What You'll Need
- A Klaviyo account with access to your Private API Key
- A CleanSmart account with integration permissions
- About 5 to 10 minutes
Step 1: Open the Klaviyo Integration
Click Connect on the Klaviyo card in CleanSmart. The card expands and walks you through the rest of the setup.

Step 2: Find Your Klaviyo Private API Key
Click the information icon on the Klaviyo card for step-by-step instructions on locating your Private API Key inside Klaviyo.

Step 3: Enter Your API Key
Paste your Klaviyo Private API Key into the field, then click Connect to link the two accounts.

Step 4: Map Your Data Fields
Once Klaviyo is connected, click Import Data. This is where you tell CleanSmart how your Klaviyo fields line up with our standard fields, so SmartMatch and AutoFormat have what they need.

Step 5: Finalize the Mapping
Click Map Data next to CRM Test to finish. A success notification confirms the setup, and a new entry shows up in Your Data Sources.

Tips and Best Practices
- Keep your Klaviyo API Key current. Expired keys are the most common cause of failed syncs.
- Review your mappings before running a clean. Bad mapping leads to bad results.
- Rotate your API Key periodically. It's good security hygiene.
Troubleshooting
I can't find my Klaviyo API Key
Sign in to Klaviyo with an account that has the right permissions, then head to your account settings and look for the API key section.
The Connect button isn't working
Confirm the API key is entered correctly and your connection is stable. Re-enter it and try again.
